A Tradition of Excellence in Lion Dance

Established in 2000, the Legendary Lion Dance Association is a nonprofit lion dance team based in San Diego, CA, dedicated to preserving and promoting Chinese lion dance and martial arts. Our team’s main goal is to promote community service and cultural awareness, preserve Chinese cultural arts, empower women, and help promote lion dance as a physical fitness sport in the city of San Diego. Throughout the years, our group has become one of the most diverse groups in San Diego, CA, with members ranging from many different backgrounds & ethnicities, from Vietnamese, Chinese, Hispanic, Caucasian, African American, Cambodian, and many more.

One of our team’s best accomplishments is receiving commendation awards from the city of San Diego for our contribution to preserving cultural arts in San Diego as well as community service. Our group can be seen performing at many events, such as Lunar New Year, weddings, grand openings, parties, banquets, graduations, birthdays, housewarmings, blessings, casinos, corporate events, and many more!
